Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Is the new Coconut Cream flavor Kava Candy good?
A. Although we are biased, we think the new Coconut Cream is going to be our best seller! The natural bitterness of the kava root seems to be masked best and we have been working hard in the lab to cover up these bitter notes. Please let us know what you think!
Q.Does it kava candy numb your mouth like they do at dentist?
A. It does numb your mouth but typically not as strong as at the dentist office. You may get a tongue tingling sensation that you get with powdered kava.
Q. Can I take kava candy with my medication?
A.Although kava is natural from a root and sold all over the nation (and world), it can affect certain medications like SSRI. Please consult your physician for medical questions before use.
Q. What kind of kava is in these candies?
A. We use light strains (all noble varietals) like mahakea with a mix of some traditional vanuatu blends. The chemotype steers toward a 245…or something similar.

Great solution for kava on the go!
I have become enamored with Kava as a good remedy for stress and anxiety, and as an alcohol substitute for social situations. But I have struggled for an “on the go” solution – and this is it! The taste is good IF YOU’RE ALREADY A KAVA DRINKER and used to that earthy bitterness. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who isn’t already used to kava, but would highly recommend to a regular kava drinker. It definitely works – was in a stressful situation and I could feel the usual kava effects.
While making kava is great at home, I’d found myself awkwardly tugging pre-made kava, my whole kava kit (bowl, strainer bag, raw powder), or the “instant micronized kava” to parties or bars. Instant micronized kava just isn’t great – it doesn’t taste the same and doesn’t dissolve well, leaving water with horrible chunks floating at the top. And trying to awkwardly mix it into water at the bar producing a muddy chunky liquid is just awkward.
I’ve looked in to pills as an alternative on the go solution, but I’ve heard complaints that the pills don’t work, and may be more likely to lead to liver damage… I’ve heard that traditional kava preparation with straining is the safest. Possibly HOW the kava is absorbed matters, and maybe sucking on these slowly dissolving candies is closer to the way kavalactones is delivered via drinking.

They work!
amazing!!! The taste is like an orange creme pop, even though there is a little bitterness from the kava it doesn’t bother me as I’m used to using the kavalactone paste anyway. I took one and my mouth went completely numb which lets me know there is Kava in there and it’s pretty strong stuff for only being 50 mg’s a candy. It really helped with my jaw spasms/pain as well, as I’ve been suffering from TMJD for years. Kava is the only natural muscle relaxant that does the job. I will be trying the ginger-mint ones next. Also, the owner Steve is such a nice guy, he even sent me an email thanking me for ordering which a lot of stores on Amazon do not bother doing. I appreciate this company and hope to try all their products <3

Great kava effects for work environments
These Candies are wonderful in a stressful work environment. Typically, if I am feeling stressed out or know that I am going to have interact with lots of people, I take two of the Kava Candies. It helps me relax and have less anxiety, so I can better interact with people. It’s almost like taking a shot of alcohol, only cheaper per dose, doesn’t impact my thinking, and doesn’t put my job at risk. What I like most about these Kava Candies is that I can keep it at my desk and can have it at any time. It’s a lot easier and taste a lot better than making the Kava drink. It’s also better looking for anyone that might be watching to just take one of these candies than it is to pop a few kava capsules.
While the effects are not as strong as making a Kava drink, there are times (like at work or during the day) where you do not want to have the full-blown sedative effects of Kava. So if you want to enjoy just enough of the effects of Kava during the day to take the edge off, I would recommend these candies.
